Rowing - Team Canada
Kasia grew up in Montreal but spent most of her life in Calgary. Since she was just five years-old, Kasia says she was always fascinated by the Olympic Games and dreamed of standing on top of the podium someday.
She grew up trying different sports and started rowing at age 23 with the Calgary Rowing Club. She picked it up quickly and found it easy to stay motivated on working toward her Olympic dreams.
One month before her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, Kasia was in a bike crash resulting in 56 stitches, a broken collarbone, and a bruised hip. She worked hard with her teammates to recover over the following weeks and took her spot on the team in Tokyo—where they brought home the gold.
Outside of sports, Kasia loves to be outside and see her friends. She’s also studying business at Queen’s University.
