Understanding Halal Certification

The Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of Canada (IFANCC) is a non-for-profit Islamic organization dedicated to scientific research in the fields related to food, nutrition and health. Offering Halal supervision and certification services, IFANCC is Canada’s leading Halal certifying organization.

IFANCC reviews products and facilities to ensure compliance with Halal, the dietary standard of Muslims. The IFANCC team works in conjunction with food manufacturers to ensure that food with Halal certification is processed according to Islamic requirements.

Achieving Halal Certification

Products, packaging materials and manufacturing facilities are evaluated for compliance with Halal standards. Facility audits which include documentations review and evaluation and plant inspections are required. Under the IFANCC compliant products receive Halal certification and earn the use of the Halal symbol.

At Bodylogix® we have achieved Halal certification on many of our products. As we continue to add to our portfolio, please check product specific pages for certification updates. The Halal symbol is applied to our packaging as we gain certification, ensuring quick and simple identification of the verification.
