Recommended Use or Purpose (Adults):
Used in Herbal Medicine as a bulk-forming and stimulant laxative to provide gentle relief of constipation and/ or irregularity.

Recommended Dose (Adults):
Take 3-6 capsules with water (8 fl. oz) before bedtime until desired results are achieved. Produces action in 6-12 hours. Do not exceed 6 capsules in any 24 hour period. For best results, drink 6-8 glasses of water throughout the day. Do not take within 2 hours of other medications. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 7 days.

Risk Information:
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding, after recent surgery, have diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate, have difficulty swallowing, abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes, diarrhoea, or if you are experiencing a sudden change in bowel habits that has persisted for more than 2 weeks, or failure to defecate following the use of another laxative product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications which inhibit peristaltic movement, taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, liquorice root or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance, or if you have a kidney disorder or are taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications or if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Consult a health care practitioner immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty after taking this product. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen or if laxative effect does not occur within seven days. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhoea. May cause temporary gas and/or bloating. Hypersensitivity, such as allergy, is known to occur in rare cases, in which case, discontinue use.
